Welcome to the Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT) Sex Offender Registration Website. The purpose of this website is to provide information to the public about ANY CONVICTED sex offenders, regardless of nationality, residing, visiting, working or attending school within the Colorado River Indian Reservation pursuant to the CRIT Sex Offender Registration Code. On June 10, 2010, the Colorado River Indian Tribes – Tribal Council unanimously approved the passage of the new Sex Offender Registration Code (SORC) Article 1 to be effective July 15, 2010, and amended it in entirety on February 25, 2013, by Ordinance 13-02, effective on March 1, 2013, in accordance with the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA), Pub. L. No. 109-248, 120 Stat. 587 (2006), Title 1 of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 (P.L. 109-248), 42 U.S.C. 16911 et seq., and amended on August 11, 2016, by Ordinance 04-16, effective on the date of its enactment.
Accordingly, all convicted Sex Offenders or Offenders with criminal convictions for attempt or conspiracy to commit sex offenses (which includes both domestic and foreign convictions) outlined in the SORC, must register with the Colorado River Indian Tribes Law Enforcement Services SORNA Office within one (1) business day for visitation, and three (3) business days upon entering within the exterior boundaries of the Colorado River Indian Reservation for purposes of residency, work or education.
FAILURE to comply with this mandatory requirement shall result in Federal and/or Tribal Criminal charges filed for FAILURE TO REGISTER. For the purposes of the mandatory registration requirements, this includes the Town of Parker, and the Counties of La Paz, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties, which are located within the exterior boundaries of the Colorado River Indian Reservation.
